With depths ranging from 7.5 to 10.6 meters, Begnas Lake’s expansion has been amplified by the construction of a dam in 2044 BS, resulting in an additional 153 hectares of land, augmenting its size from 220 hectares to 373 hectares. The canal stemming from this dam has played a crucial role in providing irrigation facilities to the cultivated and owned fields within the municipality.
